    f you are an Android Smartphone user, then go to the play store and download the Voter Helpline App. You can lodge the Grievance by using the mobile app. This app will allow users to easily find the information they are looking for. Citizens can browse the app based on their own interests and learn more about the Election Process in a more engaging way. The Election Commission of India has significantly modernized this Citizen interface to accommodate a growing user-base, as the Election Commission of India continues to branch out into new technology areas and caters for massive information dissemination requirements for its 87.5 Crore Electors during the General Elections.     Citizens can call the Voter Helpline, the number is 1950. Now any citizen from any part of the country can call on the toll-free in English or Hindi with any query or complaint at any time of the day. Callers can enquire on subjects such as elections, voting dates, EPIC, electoral roll, online registration and lodge a complaint by simply dialling into the toll-free no. Not only this, executives also make outbound calls for educating the electors and spreading voter awareness.

    SMS to 1950: 
    SMS <ECI> space <EPIC No> to 1950 (EPIC stands for Electors Photo Identity Card also commonly known as Voter ID card). Example - If your EPIC is 12345678 then sms ECI 12345678 to 1950

    In order to facilitate the Persons with Disability, Election commission of India has developed an android based mobile application i.e. PwD App. This is a pioneered application which provides the facility of informing the voter themselves as a person with the disability so that the same can be reflected in the electoral roll. With the convenience of simple clicks, the person with disabilities can request for registering themselves as electors. Upon receiving the request the election commission will ensure that the booth level officer will reach the doorstep. 
    Facilitations that Makes the App Unique: ECI is now taking a proactive approach to reach out to the voters with disabilities, to offer all the electoral services such as - Inform About Your Disability, Request For New Voter ID Registration, Request For Transfer, Request For Updation, Find Polling Booth, On-Call Support, etc.

    The portal was developed with an aim to provide single window service electors. Through NVSP, a user can avail and access various services such as access the electoral list, apply for voter id card, apply online for corrections in voter’s card, view details of Polling booth, Assembly Constituency and Parliamentary constituency, and get the contact details of Booth Level officer, Electoral Registration Officer, among other services.  The national electoral search has the responsive UI which works for both desktop and mobile. There are options for selecting search by details or search by EPIC no. In search by details, user can fill in the required details like, Name, Relative Name, DOB/Age, State and Constituency or select the location from the Google map which is integrated in the page.
