Allegation of Disqualification- Office of Profit under the Government of Odisha

Commission’s opinion dated 13.10.2021 Reference from the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Order Dated 22.10.2021 Disqualification of 22 MLAs of Odisha Legislative Assembly.

It was held that out of 22 MLAs, offices held by 20 MLAs were exempted from disqualification under statutory law. It was further held that 2 MLAs had resigned from their office before becoming Members of Odisha Legislative Assembly.

Decision- Not disqualified
