Noted Experimental Artist, Ms. Farhat Jamshed, presents an artwork to CEC

Noted experimental artist, Ms. Farhat Jamshed, visited Election Commission of India today. She presented an artwork designed by her, to Chief Election Commissioner Shri Sunil Arora, which has now been installed in the chamber of CEC. According to Ms. Jamshed, this artwork is inspired by the ‘core principles’ and ‘inner light’ that constitute our country into a democracy. Appreciating her work and immense talent, Shri Arora wished her the best for her future endeavours.


Ms. Farhat Jamshed has been working for over two decades, creating artwork through an array of media, including wood, metal, clay and paint. Her extensive portfolio includes installations, furniture and paintings. Ms. Jamshed’s work showcases a variety of influences, including the traditions of Constructivism, new movements in installation, and immersive experiments in modern art.
